school dress with no name yet.
so maybe I let my self get a little bit to pedantic and a little bit to obsessed my the idea of making everything "perfect", and by perfect I don't mean correct or by the rules, more how I want it. This had led to long nights with swearing over this dress, that I just don't seem to understand right now. I always follow my instincts, and despite doubts along the way, in some magical way I usually end up satisfied with the result. But now, it is like... I mean, the dress looks awesome. But it is like it looks sad. Depressed, unhappy in it's own skin. Maybe it is to sophisticated. Yes, it could use some sweet roughness. And some sequins.

Serious shoulders, first edition.
bulletproof? no protection for my damaged brain.

And when I find a scanner somewhere in Gothenburg, witch has showned to be a non-technical town, I can show new and more fancy sketches.
Next week we will show our dresses we have been working on for the last two weeks. As usual I am not finished, but I do have a good feeling. Everything that makes you feel like a space/disco-ladie from the 80's is good.
And after that, soon soon, january 7th, the "hideous as hell/trains wants to be fabulous too"-dress will stand at the centralstation. For everyone in Gothenburg, there will be champagne and fabulous people there that night, so please join us.

Do you like the 80's, Quecken?
Tribute to the 80's. That was my idea for styling for the wedding this weekend. And this is the result. Shoulderpads is lovely. I am afraid I might get addicted.

dear deer, come dance with me.
Something I'm working on at home, to calm my nervs and distract me from the skirt, wich more looks like pure disaster. Today I wanted to cry. Or die. Tomorrow, I have to deal with it, and make it work. In the end, it always turns out fabulous. If only I could have more faith in myself during the workprocess as afterwards.
Anyway, this is what I do when I need to chare myself up. I think it will be a... Well I don't know, a bra or a top or a dress. But whatever it will be, it ill have shoulderpads. I am falling in love with shoulderpads. The rest of the fabric is fantastic. A deer standing in front of a orange sun and trees, lovely. So I want to use it in one peace, and not destroy it with unnecessary seams.

The girl and the dress.
After hours and hours of tears, blood and shaking it is finally finished. The dress. I wanted it to be her, I wanted her to be it and I could not rush. I have been working with it on and off for several months but I think i needed that, having time to stop for a few weeks and think.
Also, this project has been rewording for me personally as well. A way to start beliving in love maybe. Anyway, i think we all have been waiting long enough. Here it is. Marielle as fabric. Just some ironing away from complete.

it's a bag in box, it's a bag in a box.
I started making bags. I like these. Simpel, yet stylish.
I hate showing or giving away something halfdone or sloppy, so this is important to me, having time to make cute bags and handmade tags. Playing with glue is underestimated.
Today I worked with the skirt. Fab. You will see result soon. Peter, if you read this, this skirt is for you. Well, not for for you but... You know what I mean.

If you happen to be in Umeå, don't forget to swing by Schmäck's store skatboet and hopefully you will get a gleam of my work.

trams and colour. steelwires and paperworks.

Yesterday I bought a new sewingmachine, so finally I can do some work at home. But right now, almost all my time goes to school so ot much time left for extra creativity.
The postitive this is, that soon soon we get to start working on our first individual project; skirts. I am trying to sketch mine tonight and the inspiration is a mix between magic flower, a papertoy, and the tramnet. Could be interesting. Also, the weddingdress is almost finished and this weekend I have some other projects in mind... So keep have faith in me. I am on it.

japanese style.
Crazy days. But here I am now, at the Cutters Academy in Gothenburg. Hoping that this year of cutting and sewing will learn me something and give me a base to stand on.
Today, the secoond day, we worked in groups and made clothes with inspiration from origami that we will present tomorrow. This is what we made. The fabric is almost like plastic but hard, like the type you make umbrellas of. I got so inspired, that I ran to the library directly after school and borrowed the book Complete origami and other paper foldingbooks. I might not want a hole dress of paper, but it is an interesting technique. And probobly the funniest way to start the schoolyear.
